PWN London: Head of Marketing & Comms


The Head of Marketing and Communications manages PWN London’s communications activities across all channels, including website, social and traditional media. This person develops and executes a broad communications strategy around key offerings and events whilst ensuring brand consistency across all channels and material. 


The Head of Marketing and Communications is responsible for maintaining and developing PWN London’s public image and our social media presence as well as for raising awareness for a more gender-balanced professional environment. Plus manage the communications volunteer team

We are looking for an experienced Marketer who can develop the strategy of the Marketing stream but also has a pragmatic and hands-on attitude, willing to roll up sleeves and get involved in the core activities. This is essential


  • Maintaining brand continuity, creating social media campaigns across multiple channels and raising awareness for a professional community
  • Create and implement a communication strategy to enhance visibility and create interest for PWN, for both members as potential members
  • Owner of communication materials; lead in requests input/content from other Board members
  • Planning and coordinating communication efforts (website and newsletters)
  • Keep website updated and leads initiatives to add interesting content
  • Creates regular newsletter
  • Initiates innovative communication that create dialogue and engagement
  • Works on creating visibility of the network; includes public relations

Time Commitment

  • Approx 6-7hours per week (variable and dependent on creation of a support committee)


  • Experience in marketing and communications
  • Social media savvy with proven experience in managing various channels and creating content 
  • A strong writer with excellent English and the ability to adapt her style and tone according to channel 
  • Working across cultures, dedicated with a sense of diplomacy and leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in executions of projects from beginning to end, with strong attention to detail
  • Committed team member with ability to work autonomously
